Our design for Dundas Residence transformed a modest four-unit building into a vibrant eight-unit affordable housing community. By doubling capacity, we addressed Toronto’s rising housing demand while ensuring comfort, privacy, and functionality for residents. Collaborating with an energy and accessibility consultant, we integrated sustainable features that reduce energy use, cut long-term costs, and meet accessibility standards with barrier-free entrances, wider doorways, and accessible washrooms.
To enrich daily living, we added private gardens for ground-level units, rooftop green spaces for social connection, and ample bicycle parking to promote sustainable mobility. Dundas Residence embodies a forward-thinking approach to affordable housing by blending sustainability, accessibility, and community-focused amenities—creating a model for inclusive living that meets the needs of diverse residents in Toronto.
