Toronto’s Multiplex Future: The Snowdon Residence
Shaping the Next Chapter of Toronto’s Neighbourhoods
With the Snowdon Residence, we are not just designing a building. Instead, we are shaping what the future of Toronto’s neighbourhoods can look like. The result is a community that feels vibrant, livable, and more connected to the people who call it home.
Project Highlight
Located at 40 Snowdon Avenue, the Snowdon Residence redefines Toronto’s “missing middle” with a thoughtful fourplex design. This contemporary multiplex responds to the city’s need for more diverse housing options while maintaining the character of its surrounding neighbourhood.
Each residence is carefully planned for light, space, and privacy. As a result, added density does not mean less comfort. In addition, the project demonstrates how design can balance density with livability. Therefore, the Snowdon Residence creates a model for sustainable growth within Toronto’s urban fabric.
Designing with Story and Purpose
Every project begins with a unique story. At 6ixDesign, we believe architecture should move from concept to construction with clarity and flow. As a result, each project carries its narrative from the first sketch to the final detail.
The Snowdon Residence is a clear example. This project does more than address a housing challenge. It also tells a story of community, innovation, and the future of urban living. In addition, it highlights how thoughtful design can shape spaces that connect people and create lasting impact.
A Modern Multiplex in Midtown
The Snowdon Residence represents a new way forward for midtown Toronto.
It combines contemporary design with practical solutions, showing how multiplexes can be beautiful, functional, and aligned with the evolving needs of the city.
Together with our article on What is a Multiplex?, this project highlights how thoughtful design and zoning reforms can unlock the potential of multiplex housing — helping Toronto build a future that is more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient.
